Wes, your funny!.....Here in L.A. you can only smoke outside. 15 feet away from any exits or entrances. even in night clubs and bars. I never smoked...cigs... Anything else, I cannot confirm or deny.. I have no recollection of any subject in the matter...LoL.
Beer here!
I have some fun pics of a beer day on board the Cochrane. I think it was 1986.

Maybe that's why my brother in law and family left California for Texas last winter. I don't think they could make it 15 minutes without a smoke. I see by your bio you are only 3 years older than my daughter. Your generation grew up knowing the pitfalls of smoking. My generation smoked in ignorant bliss until the mid 60's when they started telling us it was going to kill us. By then we were so addicted we couldn't quit. I had a friend I grew up with who's family owned a store. He started giving me cigarettes at age 5. You talk about a lifelong addication! If I'd still been in the navy when they made you go on the fantail, that would have been enough to make me leave if I'd had plans of making a career in the navy.

Hey Miguel....I received the big-ass picture of you, and Chez on Father's Day, and I enjoyed it very much. How did you send it so large, but yet with such high quality pixel clarity? You must have used a digital camera? You guys look happy, and are still looking young and buffed out. I wish I could say the same for me, but my situation/condition is nothing a few months at the gym and a reduction of Bud-lite consumption wouldn't take care of anyway (yeah right, who has time for the gym, and less Bud light no way, I don't need no stinkin gym!).

I guess since nobody picked the undefeated 80's Cochrane boxer that I was speaking of, I'll be forced to devulge his name before the anticipation, anxiety and tension over this crucial issue causes emotional distress.

Drum roll please......... At the risk of sounding less than humble, the undefeated 80's Cochrane boxer that I had in mind was none other than, Sal "El Torito" Cedillo. I had a perfect record on the ship at 2-0. First I beat the Hull Technician from New York (I think his last name began with a "B", Boyle, no?) and then I had a much tougher match handling the Gunner's Mate Donald Collins from Atlanta, Georgia. Remember GMG3 Collins? He had some guns on him, and when his biceps released, they packed a hell of a wallop. I beat him on a close decision, with stamina and the ability to take a licking and keep on ticking.....Enjoy tomorrow's fights and remember the one's that took place on the good Ol USS Cochrane (Home of the tough and the brave American Fighting Men). GMG Sal

Sal, I know the picture was large. My friends wife took the picture with their digital camera. pretty cool huh. I dont do the gym either, I do have a Coors lite regimen.
About the 80's boxer...I figured it was you. Hey did Boyle the PC ever smoked with you? He was from Boston.East coast...
We probably still look good due to the preservatives in the air out here....(smog)

Sal , thanx for not confusing me for a chief . Seems like you were a tough sonovabitch when you were in ( and probably still are) but then again we all think we are . I'm not knocking chiefs , shit I wish I was one myself .
Tried to watch the fight you talked about tonite but it wasn't on here .
The bottom line is tho , we all served aboard the diamond of the fleet , therefore we are all brothers and I wish more would join this website.
For me personally this site (thanks to John) has made me an avid fanatic .
I don't know what it will get to get more off us on this site but if I can help I will
Thanks Sal for your tollerence
