Red Mountain Vinrose, $1.49/gallon, complete with finger loop and screw top was the beverage of choice in ET school on Treasure Island..
A gallon, Italian Sausage & bread,and a 25 cent trolley ticket led to a Saturdays's adventure....Never on Sunday...you had to have a day to recover.
Have not seen it since, Don't ever want to see it again...

John (Reynolds, In case you were ever wondering about your motorcycle, I traded it to a sailor on the O'Bannon for a 1956 red and white ford station wagon. She (O'Bannon)was going to Guam. He could take the motorcycle but not the car (they would not let him put it on the fantail). The car was sold or given to a sailor on the Wilhoite when I left Hawaii. Often wonder if he ever changed the registration, or am I wanted in Ohau for some unknown offenses?

Do you suppose it (the motorcycle ) could yet be preserved as an artifact in some Guamanian garage? It's probably well that it went beyond my control or lack thereof. I recall that it had several run-ins with the Honolulu Police.

I believe that that SOB went down/up Hotel Street the wrong way at some excessive speed...once anyway!
