Am half way thru reading a reciently released book on Miss Arizona. Thought I had read and learned most all there is to know about her, but this one has interviews and acounts from the few still surviving crewmen of this ill fated levithian. Thier personal acounts of the life and times make for very interesting reading to me- written the lowly enlisted swabbies point of view, and not the intellegensia opinions and rehash and politically correct academic hog wash. Perhaps it is not quite so interesting to yall who werent on Cochrane in her Pearl Harbor years... but I highly recomend the read! Question for you folks that understand big numbers- just how many psi of air pressure did it take to lift that aft 14' tripple turret off its barbette, and "float" in the air for that few seconds??!!I cannot imagine seeing this. Take care, yall,
