Digging thru tons of stuff getting ready to move and came across
pictures of Cochrane folks playing the Sweden ship that had the future
King of Sweden on it as a Trainee. It was in 1967, Cochrane was in Dry Dock going thru an Overhaul, and the pictures look like we played
near downtown Hon-OH-Lulu?? Score was ugly and we got beat some
"X" thousands to ZERO...Picture looks like Leathers and a bunch of Ft's in picture...Think the Prince was named Gooostuffaston???? All
looooook Sober?
**************
Sorry for story number 2, but Good God have pictures of Cochrane
loading Booze boxes in Agan Guam before coming back to Pearl in
68......White boxes, with 5 fifths in them and four fifth's had to
be American.......There is a whole flatbed Semi alongside the
ship......picture from Starboard bridgewing looking Aft, looks
like a Convention gathering or there is a Naked gal on the pier???
ASROCK deck, all along Starboard side, fantail and all the way
up to Mt. #1 has people hanging on the Lifelines......Booze boxes
going down hatch right by Mount.......Wonder if anyone ever declared
all that Booze on their Custom Forms in Pearl?

John and all Cochrane folks, First save me some Nevada dirt to run some buggies in, buy a Brewski on Sunday, bet a NAG...and gots tons
of pictures. The Moving Van lines from Ga-Ga to Nevada are raising their stock prices with us coming along....we might have to Filter a few pictures as some are LOVE-NEST specials....got one in the far back of CIC, and more dishes, silverware, steros, TV's, (Hell, there
might be a body back there) than they had in Supply......
What is so scary, is that we are all Skinny.......There are GMG's
and FT's skinner than the barrels on the Mounts!

After getting a BCD on a military drivers liscenceI was assigned as duty driver for Prince Gustoven [ not sure of spelling ].What a blast driving thru Honolulu with Police, FBI and who knows what else, with complete disregard for all traffic signs and lights. Upon arrival it was interesting to learn how much the fine Swedish crew that partied at the hotel enjoyed thier hard liquor and how many of Honolulus finest ladies of the night were inattendance, makes me wonder if they had thier shot cards. The Prince and those with him were extremely neat and down to earth people. They should be proud of themselvs as partied ALMOST as much as the illustrous COCHRANE crew!!

Hey, nice seeing someone remember that besides me. I was on the team, but they would not let me play in the game until the very end. Yeah, we got beat a zillion to nothing. We have a English guy on the team, he was a forward. I forgot his name, but not the good times.
